All six Cluster schools entered a team for the gala at Bridport Leisure Centre
In the end the results were close.
Symondsbury and Burton Bradstock were close behind the winners:

We were only told about the gala the day before the event, and we were all very excited about it.
We arrived at the Leisure Centre and all went to get changed. When we sat at our seat we noticed how many children we were competing against.
We all waited a while until everything was set up then the races began…
First we all had to warm up. We had to get in then swim up to the other end. The first race was the 25m front crawl then the 25m breaststroke. Once they had finished we did the relay. I was in the relay team and we won! The next races were the width races; they took quite a while to set up because the ropes had to be taken down. There was a width breaststroke and a width front crawl.
At the very end there is race called "It's a knockout" this is a non-point scoring race because it is just for fun. We had a huge float and you had to collect rings and bricks from the bottom of the pool both of our teams came second for this race.
When we found out we had won we were all really happy because we did not think we would win for a second year running!
