Our brilliant Kenway Cup team
After 5 victorious matches we narrowly lost to Beaminster in the final: 0-1
Our first victory was against St Catherine's: 5-1
In February we beat Salway Ash: 5-3
We beat Burton Bradstock in March: 11-0
The quarter-final was against Mrs Ethelstone's - another great score: 15-2
In the semi-final we beat Parrett and Axe: 6-1
We reached the final of the Kenway Cup for the first time since 2000!!

big thank you to them for getting this far and representing Thornerís.
On Tuesday 7 February we won the West Dorset Netball Finals!
Thornerís last won the shield in 2007 so we are very pleased.
We played against Loders, Sticklands,
Brilliant work, team!
We will next play the Level 3 Competition at Bournemouth in April.
On Thursday 14 April we played a Kenway Cup match
vs St Maryís Primary, Thorncombe, and won 10-0!
It has been several years since
we have made it to a semi-final and
on Thursday 12 May we lost to Bridport Primary 3-1

The whole school are enjoying six weeks of
Year 4 took part in the West Big Swing tournament at Colfox on Thursday 21 April.
On Saturday 5 March we played the West Dorset tag rugby competition and WON!!! Well done, team.
We will play the county finals at Bournemouth on 23 March. GO THORNERíS!
On Thursday 10 March we played a Kenway Cup match against Charmouth Primary and won 3 Ė 1. Well done team!
Bredy and Eggardon children had an archery session.
On Tuesday 8 March Bredy had a competition against Portesham Primary.
On Tuesday 8 March some Eggardon children attended Sports Leader training at Redlands Sports Centre in Weymouth.
Bredy had two Tri-Golf sessions with a professional coach and, on Friday 11 March, participated in the Bridport Dance Festival.
Outdoor Education: On Wednesday 2 March Chesil and Litton had a day of orienteering and mapping delivered by coaches from the Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre.
Eggardon have continued to dominate in the local cricket tournaments.
winning the Bridport schools' tournament they then went on to play
the winners from Lyme Regis in the area final.
Despite some good bowling by their opponents Charmouth, Thorner's went on to score 256 runs with Jacob Maltby top scorer (23).
Once again Thorner's bowling was fantastically accurate and they took 9 wickets (Jensen Stewart 4 for 5) before Charmouth finished on 197 runs.
Well done to the team for such a great effort and they now look forward to playing against more teams at the County Final held at Bryanston school on the 19th of June.
