Our brilliant Kenway Cup team

After 5 victorious matches we narrowly lost to Beaminster in the final: 0-1

Our first victory was against St Catherine's: 5-1

In February we beat Salway Ash: 5-3

We beat Burton Bradstock in March: 11-0

The quarter-final was against Mrs Ethelstone's - another great score: 15-2

In the semi-final we beat Parrett and Axe: 6-1

We reached the final of the Kenway Cup for the first time since 2000!!

Brilliant Team, Well done!

Our team participated in the netball finals at Bournemouth on Monday 3 April.
Sadly, we did not win but the children were fantastic.

A big thank you to them for getting this far and representing Thornerís.

On Tuesday 7 February we won the West Dorset Netball Finals!

Thornerís last won the shield in 2007 so we are very pleased.

We played against Loders, Sticklands, Broadwindsor,
Charmouth and Mrs Ethelstonís and won all the games, without giving away a single goal!

Brilliant work, team!

We will next play the Level 3 Competition at Bournemouth in April.

Cricket 2015

Eggardon have continued to dominate in the local cricket tournaments.

After winning the Bridport schools' tournament they then went on to play the winners from Lyme Regis in the area final.

Despite some good bowling by their opponents Charmouth, Thorner's went on to score 256 runs with Jacob Maltby top scorer (23).

Once again Thorner's bowling was fantastically accurate and they took 9 wickets (Jensen Stewart 4 for 5) before Charmouth finished on 197 runs.

Well done to the team for such a great effort and they now look forward to playing against more teams at the County Final held at Bryanston school on the 19th of June.

We came second in the finals, held at Bryanston on Friday 19 June.
We won all but one match and lost to a much bigger school.
WELL DONE, TEAM!

Thanks to all the parents for all their support, especially those who have helped with transport and also for taking all the children to their local clubs as well.
